Jennifer Lopez is born on July 24, 1969 in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. She is often nicknamed J.Lo. She is an American actress, singer, record producer, dancer, fashion designer and television producer. Lopez began her career as a dancer on the television comedy program In Living Color.
She earned an ALMA Award for Outstanding Actress for her first leading role in the biographical film Selena (1997) and then in the 1998 film Out of Sight. In 1999, Lopez released her debut studio album On the 6. She has sold over 25 million albums worldwide.
