People,
I am proud of my 4 year old girl. She has written a letter to the President. When a 4 year old can write , we have 25k adult members and only about 500 of them have sent letters! Why ?

If we can't do this simple task, how can we expect the govt. to change laws for us ?
I understand, you are reading this post, but don't have a printer at home to print ? Ok, now open hotmail , gmail or yahoo mail, compose a mail to your work address. Just add this word document, and send a email to your work email address with the word document attached. when you see this email at work, just print 2 copies of the attachment, thats all you have to do.

Or rather, a business meeting (got) scheduled itself with a customer... so it works out!
I was planning on attending even without that happening - now I'm busy rescheduling flights and hotel... :)

To attend the rally:
1- I canceled a business meeting - employer didn't like it
2- I moved business travel around the rally, my boss also had to reschedule
3- I am flying in from Texas
Those of us near Washington, it will be so much easier than this for you to make it! Just get in your car or the train and go to DC for the day!

My question is if
1: my I140 is approved from company A and
2: have H1b extended for 3 years for company A
3: get the H1b transferred over to Company B and then
leave the Company A and join Company B
Now Company A revokes I140
Will by H1B with Company B still valid?

Hi,
I found from lawyer that there is no such thing called 10 days grace period after your last date of your H1. That is a big misconception. You can stay only in this country if you travel outside US and stayed more than 60 days. and that is also that rule applys to for first 6 years only.
for example, if somebody travels to outside country for 3 months within the first 6 years of their h1. and if his/her h1 is completing today than thay can use their 3 monthns period after 3 months form today. and they can only this at end of their first 6 years expiration of their h1. thay cannot use this period if they are on 7th or more years on extension.
after end of your h1 (does not matter after 6 years or 10 years), if you stay in US for 179 days than, your overstay is considered as illigal stay but there do not consider as violation and that does not count if you try to come back in US again. if your overstay is more than equals to 180 but less than a year than you are baan form entering US for 3 years. and if overstay is more thatn 1 year than you are baan from enterting US for 10 years.

Both Graham and Schumer agree that they want to do this bipartisan. Graham wants one more Republican to support the bill. If not, he wouldn't back it. This is a known fact and even Schumer is well aware of it.
If health care passes through reconciliation, then getting that one crucial Republican vote would become that much difficult. In other words, Immigration bill would never see the light this year.
It tells me, although Graham is in it, he is not really in it... He wants to take the credit for bipartisanship but not the responsibility for making it happen. And that is the reason for one more Republican support.

I believe they go by RD if the PD is current. My RD is jul 2nd and my application reached them early AM on Jul 2nd.

I don't know how you can generalize like that. Sure that I was also burnt by a Desi company. But that is no excuse to say that All Desi company's are like that. I am sure this topic is very well discussed in some other thread. I am posting this as I am surprised not to see somebody jumping in against such generalizations.
So make it a promise to yourself that if you ever start a company you will not screw up anybody (desi or otherwise)
From my experience, Crows are black everywhere. Unless you join non-desi company. it is hard to find desi company who keeps everything in black n white.
Best bet is to try to workout something with you present company.

Both EAD and H1-B are fine. I am on EAD/AP whereas my wife is on H1-B. We dont have any issues and the banks will recognize both. We use JP Morgan Chase.

Can you start residency on EAD if you are the primary for 485? Meaning, can you use AC21 and change jobs from research to residency after 180 days from filing? Please help, really confused.

We must ask specialists like Greg Siskind or Stephen Perlitsh.
It would be a good idea if we setuup a conference call with either of these residency gurus, unless you know someone else who is the best.
There is a group called IV Physicians, 'paskal' runs this group. So if you are doing research, residency etc... you must join this group.

I did self filing of EAD and AP and sent the docs using USPS express mail. When I checked the status this is what I found
"Status: Notice Left
We attempted to deliver your item at 10:59 AM on July 9, 2008 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. A second delivery attempt will be made. If unsuccessful, we will hold it for five business days and then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later"
So if nobody picks it up after the second delivery they will send it back - Was it a mistake to send by express mail?
Thoughts???
